The Greek Government announced last night that the separate Jewish, electoral college would be abolished as contrary to the terms of the constitution. It also announced that in the future, proportional election methods would be applied to the Jewish districts of Salonica. The Jewish population has sought the abolition of the separate electoral college for many years.
