Representatives of twenty-three Transjordan villages, the head of one of the largest towns in the Transjordan and others representing Transjordan interests visited the offices of the Jewish Agency for Palestine here yesterday and urged it to buy land for Jewish settlement in the Transjordan.

Leaders in the region favorable to Jewish settlement there are planning to hold a counter-conference during the conference of the anti-Jewish settlement leaders which is now due to be held in June. The conference was to have been held earlier this month but was postponed when fighting broke out among the factions.
