In connection with the announced prohibition against Jews as members of the new “national labor front,” a Government plan for the establishment of a purely Jewish workers’ union has been announced. Such a “ghetto union” would not be likely to be of any help to Jewish workers, it is generally felt here. The workers today appealed to the rest of the Jewish population for their support, pointing out that two-thirds of the total Jewish population consists of workers and employees who will be most severely affected.
