With the Cleveland Campaign for German Jewish Relief drawing to a close, Samuel D. Wise, chairman, reports that pledges totaling approximately $100,000 have been received at the offices of the Jewish Welfare Federation, under whose auspices the campaign was launched.
Dr. Chaim Weizmann, former president of the World Zionist Organization and at present one of the leaders in the British Campaign for the aid of the Jews of Germany, will stop over in Cleveland on his return east from Chicago on Thursday to address the final meeting of the campaign workers to be held at the Hotel Statler.
According to Mr. Wise, fund solicitations were surprisingly successful, considering the depressed status of local business conditions.
