An organization of Jewish women for the emancipation of Jewish womanhood and modelled after the General Brazilian Women’s Union has been formed here.
The organization was prompted by the fact that women had not obtained even the right of casting a vote until the last elections.
The Jewish women responsible for the new organization have up to now been members in the General Brazilian Women’s Union.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
