Homage was paid to the memory of Dr. Theodor Herzl with impressive rites at the Bikur Cholum Synagogue, attended by more than 300 persons. The memorial service was sponsored by the Jewish Junior League.

In the principal address of the evening, Melville Monheimer, active Zionist, traced the rise of Dr. Herzl from an assimilationist unconcerned with Judaism to a leader of world Jewry.
