Louis (Nathan) Forest, famous French-Jewish journalist, dramatist and novelist died here at the age of 61.

Forest, who was born in Metz in 1872, was for many years on the staff of Le Matin, and was considered an outstanding writer on social and political questions.

The better known of his novels include “Towards Peace” and “The Child-Thief.” Among his plays are “Love and Company,” “The Little Millionairess” and “Colonel Chabert”.
