Approval of the boycott movement was voted by the executive committee of the Jewish Council of Greater New York Tuesday evening at which Bernard G. Richards presided and Sholom Schwartzbard was the principal speaker. Members of the council who are members of the executive committee of the American Jewish Congress, with which the council is affiliated, were instructed by resolution to vote in favor of participation by that body in the boycott.

The executive committee decided to call a meeting of all delegates to the council to be held in October, to work out plans for making the council a central agency for New York Jewry.
