A project for the establishment of an institution which would facilitate trade between Poland and Canada was seriously discussed here at a conference of the Central Jewish Merchants’ Association. Representatives of export and import companies and several Canadian delegates were present at the consultation.
The problem is an actual one, for there is a definite Canadian market for many Polish products. Moreover, Canada is supporting the boycott of German goods and would gladly displace them by Polish.
The projected institution would be consultative and would be in communication with the governmental export department. It provides for the establishment of bureaus in both Poland and Canada to facilitate the exchange of samples.
