The reasons that prompted the Reich’s Vertretung of Jewish Federations, most representative Jewish body in Germany, to advise against the formation of Jewish employees organizations was divulged today.
The statement declared that many inquiries reached them from those puzzled by the advice, particularly in view of the urgent need to help Jewish employees find new occupations.
Although everyone agrees that the German Jews must strive for the formation of just such organizations, it must be realized that their effectiveness rests in agreement with the government.
The statement discloses that the government remains, as yet, unapproachable in regard to this question and therefore the creation of employees organizations must remain in abeyance.
