Not religion, but race and blood is to be the basis for determining Aryanism, read the instructions issued by the Minister of the Interior, Wilhelm F. Frick, today. The intention is apparently to prove that no agreement has been signed with the Vatican on the status of the converted German Jews.

The official Instructions issued by Herr Frick are to consider as non-Aryans, anybody of Jewish descent, even though their forefathers never belonged to the Jewish religious community, and also even if the father or forefather was a convert to the Christian religion.

It is made clear that the ruling factor in determining non-Aryanism should not be religion but race and blood. This interpretation makes the situation for the converts worse and entirely disproves the rumored intention of making concessions to the converts.
