The immediate establishment of special bureaus in London and Jerusalem to facilitate the settlement of German-Jewish refugees in Palestine will be undertaken in accordance with the decision reached today at a special conference at Merano held under the chairmanship of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, famous Zionist leader. Dr. Weizmann was elected at the recent World Zionist Congress at Prague to conduct the drive for the Palestine settlement of German Jews.

Among those who attended the conference were Dr. Arthur Ruppin, colonization and agricultural expert of the Jewish Agency for Palestine and member of the Zionist executive; Dr. Werner Senator, member of the Jewish Agency executive; Berl Locker, member of the Zionist executive; Dr. Martin Rosenbluth, German Zionist leader, and the head of the Palestine experimental station, Dr. Wilkansky.

Dr. Ruppin, who will head the Jerusalem bureau, submitted a scheme for action which was studied by the conference. It is learned that the cooperation of many experts in various lines has been ensured for the project of settling German Jews in Palestine. Dr. Selig Brodetzky, noted British Zionist and member of the Jewish Agency executive, will participate in the activities of the special bureau at London as the representative of the Jewish Agency executive.
