An apology for permitting the creation of the Judische Kultur Bund, German Jewish cultural association formed since the exclusion of all Jews from the varied cultural life of Germany, was issued today by State Commissar Lintel and published in the entire German press.
The commissar explained that the Kultur Bund was allowed to be formed for the following reasons:
It was supported by such Jews who preferrd to remain in Germany rather than go abroad and spread atrocities. The activities of the Bund are limited to Jews and is permitted no publicity except in the Jewish press. The theatre to be established by the Bund may be attended only by Jews. Propaganda for the Bund or its theatre is absolutely prohibited and the critics of the German press are not permitted to visit the Bund theatre or publish reviews of the plays put on there.
In conclusion Commissar Lintel declared that since the German Jews are classified as foreigners, they are entitled to lead their own cultural life by Jews and for Jews.
