Max Hirschberg, prominent Jewish attorney, who has been in prison during the past five months, was released today and permitted to resume his practice on account of his being a war veteran. The reason for his arrest was unstated.

A South African Jewish citizen, Koenig, was attacked by Nazis while visiting Frankfort because he failed to salute the Nazi swastika.

The president of the Frankfort police called on the British consulate offering apologies and promising to establish the identity of the assailants. The question of granting compensation to Koenig is under discussion.
