Nazi disturbances were resumed in the universities and colleges this morning following the retirement of several Nazi professors including Professor Gleispach, notorious advocate of the anti-Semitic student movement.
Clashes between the Nazi students and the police continued for some time and a number of shots were fired. So far it has not been established whether Jews were injured in the rioting, The Polytechnic Institute was closed by the police as a result of the outbreak.
The unfurling of a large swastika flag at the Polytechnic Institute was the signal for a country-wide demonstration at the universities. The clashes immediately assumed a serious character and the students were not dispersed until the police resorted to the use of their sabres.
