A boycott of Jewish goods, and particularly of the Jewish press was voted today at the first meeting of the newly-constituted Nazi Christian-Fascist party of which Stepan Tatarescu is the head.
Immediate action leading to the expulsion of a half-million Jews who allegedly entered Roumania since 1916 is being taken by the party, Tatarescu declared. This expulsion, to take place before May 1, 1934, is one of the eleven points in the party program adopted at its first conference last week. Other anti-Semitic points of the program are also being pushed, Tatarescu asserted.
The party was formed by Tatarescu after his return from Germany where he was received by Hitler and conferred on methods with several leaders of the Nazi anti-Semitic drive. Tatarescu, who formerly cooperated with the Cuzist anti-Jewish party and the anti-Semitic Iron Guard, hopes to add these organizations to the newly-formed party which functions indirectly under the aegis of the German Nazis.
