Polish Street Won’t Be Named After Bundist

The local governor has cancelled the decision of the municipality to name a street in memory of the Bundist leader, Israel Lichtenstein. The Bund is the organization of Jewish Socialists which played a very prominent part in the early Socialist agitation against he Czarist government. It is very strong among the Polish Jewish workers.
