The State executive committee of the Texas Young Judeans is planning a Maccabiade, a huge State-wide athletic carnival, to be held probably next July. Plans were made here at a meeting of the committee at which a State Young Judean handbook was also decided upon and the raising of a fund of about $500 to be used in sending two members of the organization to Palestine for a visit. Gerhardt Bender of Austin, the president, presided over the session here, which was attended by Rae Florence Engle, Dallas; Madaline Melkin, Houston; Jem Englander, Waco; Pauline and Ruth Berk-man, Waco; Littman Danziger, Houston; Clarence Goldstein, Houston; Dorothy Wyll. Dallas, and Hyman Greenspan, Waco.
