The Arabs have benefitted economically as a result of Jewish immigration, according to a report issued by H. Frumkin, head of the Histadruth Central Employment Bureau, Merkaz Haavodah, which shows the contrast between the living conditions of the Arabs in Palestine and those in Transjordania and Syria.

In and around the communities of Samaria, Judea and southern Palestine, the Arabs have planted 15,000 dunams of citrus groves. Funds for this work were obtained from sale of lands to the Jews, and from wages paid out by their Jewish employers.

The report says that Arab plantations have increased acreage by 27 percent, and there are signs of rapid industrial development.
