Jewish Workers’ Secretary Released After Citizenship is Questioned in Holy Land

Yehudi Shimoni, secretary of the cultural commission of the Histadruth, the Palestine workers’ organization, and a resident of Palestine for twelve years, was arrested this afternoon on the suspicion that he had entered Palestine illegally.

Mr. Shimoni was questioned by an officer engaged in tracking down tourists who had remained in Palestine illegally. He was released after his identity was established.
