Max D. Steuer, noted attorney, will be the toastmaster at a banquet in the Waldorf-Astoria on the night of January 28, which will mark the opening of a campaign by a committee of well-known American Jews to invite to the United States distinguished German Jewish scholars, who have been exiled from Germany by Hitler, Samuel Levy, president of the borough of Manhattan and chairman of the council of Yeshiva College, announced.

Senator Abraham Kaplan will head a committee whose purpose will be to raise funds to endow chairs in American universities, and to acquaint Americans with the plight of the exiled professors. The first group of exiled professors will occupy seats at the Yeshiva College, it was stated.
