A message appealing for financial support of the World Maccabee movement, of which he is the honorary president, was received here from Lord Melchett. Included in the message are felicitations and a tribute to Menachem Ussishkin, who celebrated his seventieth birthday recently.

The message read:

“That birthday is a national festival for all Jewish people, to whatever wing they may belong. No one should fail to participate in the materialization of the Ussishkin Village. Honor the redeemer of the land and help establish the colony.”

The message also bore the signature of Dr. Lelewer, president of the Maccabee Association.
