Expanding rapidly; and extending the scope of their anti-Semitic activities to American organizations, Hitlerite agencies, led by the Friends of New Germany, have in recent weeks strengthened their offensive against Jews in the United States.

New branches of the League of Friends of New Germany have recently been established in Woodside, L. I., Buffalo, and White Plains, N. Y. Original branches of the organization in a score of cities through the land in their monthly reports declare that their position has been consolidated among the German populations and that they are now ready to deal with American Jews through the medium of American groups sympathetic to the Hitlerite cause and antagonistic to the Jews.

Since the flight of Heinz Spanknoebel, fugitive leader of the Friends of New Germany, who is now wanted by the police for subversive activities, leadership of the Nazi body has been taken over by Fritz Gissibl, formerly in charge of the western branch of the organization. In reference to the boycott of German goods, he declared that “the enemies of Germany are the enemies of America.” He described the Jews in this country as paralelling the Jews in Germany in their “offensiveness to the State,” and he said that “those who applied the torch to the Reichstage will do the same to the White House.”

Kappe urged the Germans to take the initiative in bringing action to bear upon the Jews in this country.

TO LIST BOYCOTTERS

At the same time it was decided to prepare a list of all concerns taking part in the boycott of German goods with the view of securing a boycott against them in turn.
