New Kentucky Colonel Appointed by Gov. Laffoon

Samuel Shaine, of 62 Cherryvale Avenue, young Jewish business man, has been appointed a colonel on the staff of Gov. Ruby Laffoon of Kentucky. His appointment came as a surprise to him as well as to his friends in this city. While at his winter home at Miami. Fla., he met people prominent in Louisville, Ky, society, who suggested that he should become a Kentucky colonel. His appointment was the result of the chance encounter.

Mr. Shaine is associated with his father in the Springfield Photo Mount Co. He is prominent in a number of local organizations.
