The Board of Education finally has given official recognition to the Americanization and citizenship classes conducted in the Y.M.-Y.W.H.A. The classes have been conducted for four years, teaching English and citizenship to foreign-born mothers. Hereafter, the number of classes will be doubled and teachers will be paid by the CWA.
