Moses H. Hoenig, president of the national council of Young Israel, announced that the mid-winter conference of the Eastern Division will be held in the Jewish Center of Jersey City on Sunday, January 21. Harry G. Fromberg, former Council president, will preside.
The conference will be concluded with a banquet, entertainment and dance in the evening.
Speakers at the affair will include Judge Morris E. Barison of Jersey City; Louis J. Kriegel, president of the Jersey City Jewish Community Center; Rabbi David Stern, of New York City, and others.
Leon Spilky is chairman of arrangements for the Jersey City Young Israel unit and Abraham Jacobowitz is president of the branch.
