The influential Lisbon daily Seculo yesterday denied that there had been negotiations for the settlement of German’ Jewish refugees in Angola, Portuguese West Africa. The paper states that it has feSen officially authorized by the Portuguese government to contradict the report, adding that no one in official Portuguese circles was aware of any such proposals.

A report originating in Berlin on Jan. 2 stated that an expedition of Jews was about to set out from Germany to investigate the possibility of German Jewish settlement in West Africa.
