The failure to select Jews for the Grand Jury, and the lack of many Jews on other Juries, is noted in local Jewish cicles as and importan fact. It is the first time in many years that a Jew has not been selected for the Grand Jury.

The recent trial of Jewish lawyers in a jury-fixing trial is believed to be the cause, with several Jewish leaders voicing the opinion that there is an anti-Semitic atmosphere pervading Passiac Cuntry.
