German Jews Must Pay Wages for Jewish Holidays

Jewish firms which remain closed on Jewish holidays are obliged to pay full salary to their non-Jewish employees, the Berlin Labor Court decided today.

In explaining the ruling the court stated that the law does no provide for releasing Jewish firmed from paying salaries for the Jewish holidays.
