Three thousand Jewish women will attend a tea in honor of Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt Wednesday night at the Hotel Commodore. The speakers will be Mrs. Roosevelt, Aldermanic President Bernard S. Deutsch, and Dr. John Haynes Holmes.
The reception is sponsored by the Women’s Division of the American Jewish Congress headed by Mrs. Stephen S. Wise in cooperation with the Women’s Division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish philanthropic Societies, the New York chapter of Hadassah, women’s Zionist organization, the Ivriah Organization, the Women’s Branch of the Union of Orthodox. Jewish Congregations, the Women’s Organization of the Free Synagogue, the Women’s League for Palestine, and the Godmother’s League.
Among the hostesses are: Mrs. Sidney Borg, Mrs. Bernard S. Deutsch, Mrs. David de Sola Pool, Mrs. Gabrial Hamburger, Mrs. Herbert Goldstein, Mrs. Emil Hamburger, Mrs. Richard Gottheil, Mrs. J. M. Rose, and Mrs. Samuel Chan.
