“Yellow Jack,” a play without an intermission, will come to the Martin Beck Theatre on Thursday. Sidney Howard is the author, and the paly is based on a chapter in Paul de Kruif’s book “Microbe Hunters”. In the cast are Katharine Wilson, John Miltern, Robert Keith, Eduardo Ciannelli, Milard Mitchell, Whiford Kane, Geoffrey Kerr, George Nash and others. A major protion of the play tates place in the year 1900, and several songs popular of that period will be bung. Among the songs to be heard will be “A Hot Time in The Old Town Tonight”, “On the Banks of the Wabash” (This one was composed by Paul Dresser, who was Theodore Dreiser’s brother) “Good Bye Dolly Gray”, “Just Tell Her That You Saw Me”, “Little Annie Rooney”, “You’re In the Army Now”, “Just as the Sun Went Down” and “Good Bye My Bluebell”.
POSTPONED ONE DAY
“When In Rome”, Announced for opening tonnght, has been postponed to tomorrow night. Major and Smithfield are the producers, with Mr. Smithfield direting. Kenneth Daigneau heads a list of well-known Broadway players, and the 49th St. Theatre will house this newcomer.
LARRIMORE IN “RACES” CAST
Earle Larrimore who was in “Days Without End”, the Theatre, Guild play which closed last Saturday night, will join the cast of “Races”, the Ferdinand Brueckner play, which the Theatre Guild is preparing for an early presentation.
TASHAMIRA AT MOROSCO
Tashamira, Jugoslavian dancer, who was to have had a recital at the Booth Theatre on Sunday, March 4th, will appear at the Morosco instead, on the same date. Tashamira belongs to the modernist school, and gianed much favorable comment for her dancing in “Second Little Show”.
