This is a beautiful prophecy. Israel, regenerated in Palestine, may again bring forth Isaiahs and Spinozas as “guiding lights along the human path.” Israel will not be daunted by “temporary setbacks.” The Hitlers of today will meet the fate of the Hamans of the past. But at this moment the Nazi “Aryans” are endeavoring to exterminate the Jews just because of the doctrines of their Isaiahs and Spinozas. The first targets of Nazi hate and cruelty are the pacifists and the intellectuals, the followers of the Hebrew Prophet of universal Peace and of the Godintoxicated apostle of Reason.
