Hausner, Polish Jewish Consular Official, Leaves on Mission to America

Dr. B. Hausner, former Polish Consul in Tel Aviv and a former Jewish deputy in the Polish parliament, left Warsaw today for the United States as a representative of the Polish Foreign Office to carry out a mission entrusted him by the Polish government.

Dr. Hausner, a prominent member of the Polish Mizrachi Organization, was appointed to his post in Tel Aviv in 1927. In 1930 the Polish government conferred on him the Officers’ Order of Polonia Restituta, in recognition of his services. He was the first Polish Jew to be appointed to a consular post by the Polish government.
