The Jew’s eminent place in medicine was described as the logical development of the Hebraic teachings extolling the virtues of learning, self-sacrifice and the advanced concept of social responsibility, in an address broadcast last night by Sidney H. Reiss over Station WBNX, under the auspices of the Young People’s League of the United Synagogue of American.

“Even in ancient times,” Mr. Reiss declared, “the rabbis of Israel were pondering over the problems of physical and mental hygiene and in doing so discovered facts about diet, human health and wholesome sex relations that to this day are incontrovertible scientific facts.”
