Two more functions have been added to those already scheduled in celebration of Rabbi Stephen S. Wise’s sixtieth birthday this week.
The college division of the American Jewish Congress is holding a rally in honor of the birthday of Dr. Wise on Sunday March 18. at 8 p.m. at the Free Synagogue House 40 West Sixty-eighth street. Anna Magid Homas is the guest artist. The guest speakers will be Bernard S. Deutsch, Dr. John Haynes Holmes, Rabbi Louis I. Newman and Professor Alfon’s Goldschmidt.
A testimonial dinner to Rabbi Wise will be tendered by the Brooklyn community on Thursday evening, March 22, at the Hotel St. George, according to an announcement by Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May yesterday. The dinner will be held under the auspices of the Brooklyn division of the American Jewish Congress. of which Judge May is chairman.
