Jewish Community Council is Formed in Utica by Rabbi

A Jewish Community Council, consisting of practically every Jewish organization in this city, has been formed under the leadership of Rabbi S. Joshua Kohn and Judge H. Myron Lewis. The Council intends to promote the religious, social and educational life of the Jewish community; to unify and aid Jewish causes in this city and elsewhere; and to protect the good name of the Jews.

The following organizations have joined:

House of David, House of Jacob, Temple Beth El, Baruch Spinoza Lodge, I. O. B. A., Bikkur Cholim Society, Council of Jewish Women, Hadasar, Jonathan Rebekah Lodge, Shoshano Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, Sisterhood of Temple Beth El, Jonathan Lodge of Odd Fellows Order, Knights of Pythias, and Men’s Club of Temple Beth El.
