In the wake of Hitlerite “Aryanization” of the Bible, German professions, German industry, German culture, German education, and, in brief, Germany, the German Chancellor this year has decreed that Peter will be portrayed in the Passion Play at Oberammergau by a blond Nordic type.
The departure from normalcy (for it is understood that the original Peter was swarthy, and certainly, the part has almost always been taken by a brunette) was anonunced Friday by the German Tourist Information office at 665 Fifth avenue.

The German Tourist office yesterday denied that Mayr had been selected to satisfy Hitler’s preference for blond men. “He was chosen because of the excellence of his past performance,” spokesman declared.
