Early motion pictures depicting time-honored “tear-jerkers” that thrilled “movie fans” twenty-five years ago will be one of the features at the Motion Picture Costume Ball which will be held at Webster Hall tomorrow. The ball is sponsored by the Film and Photo League, and by James Cagney, Alma. Reed, George Gershwin, Polly Walters, Sidney Howard, Madge Bellamy, George S. Kaufman, John Wexley, Helen Chandler, Bill Robinson, Hall Johnson, Erskine Caldwell, Ashley Pettis, and others.
