Courage of Catholic and Protestant leaders of Germany in the face of Hitlerite oppression was commended by Dr. Cyrus Adler in his address at the seventy-fifth anniversary celebration of Congregation Mishkan Tefila here.

“They have refused to accept a false theory of religion,” Dr. Adler, who heads the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, declared, “and most valiantly defended the Hebrew Bible, both as to its inherent necessity to the Church and, in essence, as a document of high moral worth and an example to all peoples.” Dr. Adler also stressed the need of strengthening religion among the Jewish people.
