Sixty of the best known Jews of this city participated in a conference here to consider plans for raising funds for the United Jewish Appeal. The conference was called by Rabbi Eugene Mannheimer.

Harry Ginsberg and Joseph Brody were chosen chairmen of the local committee, and Morris Mandelbaum, treasurer.
