Assassination of Duca Was Result of Curb on Anti-semites, Says Davila

The assassination of Prime Minister Ion Duca of Rumania several months ago was the direct result of the “successful attempt of the government to check anti-Semitic, ultra-nationalistic and intolerant agitation” it was stated here yesterday afternoon by Charles A. Davila, Minister of Rumania.

Davila, who made the statement in the course of a radio address over station WEAF of the NBC system as part of a program celebrating the fifty-seventh year of Rumania’s independence, declared that in spite of her difficulties he was certain that his nation would “remain in the liberal camp.”
