Funeral services were held yesterday for Jack Mosseri, 49, one of the heads of the well-known Egyptian Jewish banking firm of J. N. Mosseri Figli and Company. Mr. Mosseri was a leading member of the Egyptian Zionist organization and a pioneer of modern education in Jewish schools. He financed Professor Solomon Shechter’s historical researches and was instrumental in saving valuable Hebrew documentary material for Jewish scholars.
Present at his funeral were Alexandre Millerand, former French president; two Egyptian cabinet ministers, several former cabinet members and representatives of the royal family.
