Dr. A. Alan Steinbach, rabbi of Temple Beth El here, on Sept. 1 will become senior rabbi of Ahavath Sholom Temple of Brooklyn, N. Y.
The Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch devoted an editorial to a glowing eulogy of Rabbi Steinbach’s achievements in this city, concluding with the statement that the Brooklyn temple “will gain an orator and thinker, a pastor and preacher, a scholar and teacher.”
