David Jacobson, who will be ordained at Hebrew Union College Saturday, has accepted the pulpit of the West Central Branch of the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in London, of which Lily H. Montagu is lay leader. Dr. Israel I. Mattuck is rabbi of the Liberal Synagogue Congregation.
At Hebrew Union College he was awarded numerous scholarships, wrote two prize essays on a subject of Jewish scholarship, was student tutor in Hebrew for two years, and his year served as acting instructor in Hebrew grammar. At the University of Cincinnati, from which he was graduated in 1931, he won the Literary Club essay prize for that year. He is a member and past president of the University of Cincinnati chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu.
