There will be no demonstration against the Nazi mass meeting scheduled for tomorrow night, according to a decision of the local administrative committee of the American Jewish Congress.
The committee adopted the following resolution:
“The Philadelphia Jewish Council considers the coming Nazi meeting as an indication of the success of the American boycott of German goods and feels inspired to continue the work with renewed energy. The Council will take note of the practical results of the meeting and will give its answer to Nazi activities in an energetic manner. The Council is certain that the Jews of Philadelphia will not bow before Nazi terrorism, and will carry on the fight against Hitlerism to the bitter end Nor will we permit any linking of the boycott of German products with a boycott of German-Americans.
“The Council calls on the Jews of Philadelphia to go about their activities in a peaceful and dignified manner so that we shall not lose the sympathy and cooperation of all shades of American public opinion.
“Let no Jew attend the meeting nor give them any cause for receiving publicity.”
