More than 1,000 delegates attended the eighty-second annual convention of B’nai B’rith district Grand Lodge No. 1 and women’s auxiliary this morning at the Mount Royal Hotel.
Among the scheduled speakers at the gathering were Richard E. Gudstadt of Chicago, executive director of the anti-Defamation League; I. M. Rubinow, Dr. Abram Leon Sachar and Ludwig Lewisohn.
At a banquet and ball this evening, Joseph H. Dillon, member without portfolio in the Quebec cabinet, was guest of honor.
This is Montreal’s first district convention of the B’nai B’rith. It will continue for two more days.
