Zionists Make Annual Parley Outline Public

Zionists of America will convene at Hotel Chelsea in Atlantic City for their thirty-seventh annual convention during the four days beginning June 30.

More than 300 delegates are expected to attend the gathering the tentative program of which was made public yesterday.

The convention will include an address by Ludwig Lewisohn, Jewish novelist and essayist, who will discuss “The Re-Emancipation of Israel.” Memorial exercises will be held for Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of the modern Zionist movement. July 3 will be the thirtieth anniversary of his death.

SYMPOSIUM ON PROGRAM

A symposium will be held on the subject, “What Should be the Program of the Zionist Organization of America?” The question as to the further direction and program of the American Zionist movement will be placed before the delegates. Morris Rothenberg; president of the Zionist Organization of America, will devote the principal part of his presidential message to the problem.

Another session of the convention will be devoted to deliberation on “The Party Struggle in Palestine.”

YOUNG ISRAEL TO CONVENE

Delegates from many Jewish communities are expected to attend the national annual convention of the Council of Young Israel to be held beginning June 22 at Atlantic City. For the first time, women will participate.

The program includes a report from the president, Moses H. Hoenig, discussions of the problems of education; and the organization of Kashruth in the country. A representative of Young Israel of Palestine also will report.

JEWISH POLITICIANS MEET

The Jewish Political Club. the New Peoples Synagogue and the Federation of Hungarian Jews will hold a meeting Tuesday at the Great Central Palace to discuss housing conditions on the East Side, the high cost of living and problems of crime prevention.

HOSPITAL PATIENTS FROLIC

Patients of Montefiore Hospital for Chronic Diseases and their friends participated in the annual lawn party on the hospital grounds yesterday afternoon. Theatrical entertainment featured the program.
