The powerful Plattdeutsche Volksfest Verein of Brooklyn, embracing fifty important affiliate organizations, has been brought into the fold of New York Nazis, observers were convinced yesterday as reports of the Sunday night meeting of the Brooklyn Friends of New Germany were circulated.

The Plattdeutsche Volksfest Verein took official part Sunday night in a flag festival of the Friends of New Germany at Schwaben Hall in Ridgewood. More than 3,000 persons jammed the building as flags, the swastika and schwarz-weiss-rot of Hitlerdom were paraded before the cheering multitude.

U. S. FLAGS SUBORDINATE

American flags also were borne by the uniformed stormtroopers who took part in the ceremony, but they took a subordinate place to the Hitlerite emblems.

The meeting was held under the slogan which has become common to all Nazi gatherings-“the awakening of Germandom in America.” Virtually every speaker pleaded for a united Germandom in this country to overcome the enemies of Germany.

Herman Schwinn, leader of the Los Angeles cell of the Friends of New Germany, was among those who spoke. He called for unity among the Germans and prophesied the gleichschaltung of all German organizations into a strong united front and the eventual over throw of the “enemies of our fatherland”

ALLIANCE INDICATED

Henry Behrmann, president of the Plattdeutsche Volksfest Verein, took official part in the ceremonies with Joseph Schuster, head of the New York stormtroop division and leader of the Brooklyn cell of the Nazis, and gave indication that a permanent alliance between the two organizations will exist hereafter.

The leader of the Nazi cell aboard the Hamburg American liner, Albert Ballin, Herr Molin, and thirty men from his ship took part in the meeting.
