Mrs. Philip A. Lewisohn had accepted the honorary presidency of the Women’s American ORT. it was announced yesterday from the organization’s offices at 220 Fifth avenue. She has long been active in various projects of the group.
The Women’s American ORT will remit the balance of its $5,000 funds, which provides seed and cattle for Jewish farmers in Poland and Bessarabia, within a fortnight.
