Max D. Steuer and former Congressman Nathan D. Perlman, vice-president of the American Jewish Congress, will address the annual convention of the Association of Hungarian Jews which convenes Sunday at the Hotel Edison, according to an announcement by Herman Quittman, chairman of the convention committee.
The opening address will be delivered by Dr. Max Krause, president of the Association, and reports on activities for the current year will be submitted by Councilor S. Ohlbaum, chairman of the board of directors, and Morton Greenbaum, secretary.
Over 600 delegates from all parts of the country representing more than 15,000 members will attend the sessions. The political status of the Jews in Hungary, the welfare of Hungarian Jews in the United States and the anti-Nazi boycott are among the principal problems confronting the convention.
